We do pedals and paddles too :) Recently we had to repair a GRP canoe, front and rear of the canoe had been bashed about and some effort of repair had been done using body filler and a bit of paint. This wasn't as waterproof as they hoped.

So a gentle play with the sander to get rid of the filler, a dab of fibreglass filler to bridge the holes,

More sanding to get a flatish surface..

A layer of chopped strand mat to give strength then another sand to get it flat.

Finally a layer of woven roving tape to give a bit more strength amd a nice smooth finish.

A final sanding and a top coat of resin coloured to choice and all will be solid for many hours of fun.

We had to try it out of course :)

Well thats the paddles so pedals are next..

We recently dug two old pushbikes out of two different sheds..

One was a Dawes Galaxy from the 70s and a Peugeot Finesse for the 80s at a guess. Some air in the tyres and some penetrating fluid and dome elbow grease folowed by some oil we had two useable bikes, quick decision by my partner and before I could change my mind we were of up the road, about 6 miles later and back at the workshop I remembered why I like the infernal combustion engine :)

Just MOT welding :)

Doing the restoration work gives me a good bit of practise for doing MOT work :) Most MOT patches from garages etc seem to be a random...
